Uttar Pradesh BJP state general secretary Dharampal Singh emphasized that the initiatives launched by the BJP governments at both the Centre and the state are focused on ensuring respect, security, and empowerment of women.
Speaking at a women’s conference in Shahjahanpur under the Atmanirbhar Bharat Sankalp Abhiyan, Singh said that the true meaning of a self-reliant India can only be achieved when women move ahead with self-confidence and self-respect. He added that Prime Minister Narendra Modi envisions women not merely as participants but as leaders and driving forces in nation-building.
Singh said that India can become truly self-reliant only when its women move ahead with confidence. He added that the government’s schemes aim to support women and help them play a bigger role in building a strong and progressive nation.
He explained that the primary goal of the conference was to promote self-reliance among women, encourage the use of indigenous products, and enhance women’s participation in social and economic development.
Singh said that under PM Modi and CM Yogi Adityanath, many programs have been started to support women socially, economically, and politically. He mentioned schemes like Ujjwala Yojana, Beti Bachao Beti Padhao, Lakhpati Didi, Mission Shakti, and ODOP that have helped empower women in Uttar Pradesh.
“These schemes have given women a strong foundation for both entrepreneurship and security,” Singh noted, adding that the state government’s continuous efforts have created new opportunities for women to achieve financial independence.
In addition to addressing the conference, Singh also met party officials and Shakti Kendra coordinators in Amla. The discussions were about new campaigns to strengthen the BJP and spread awareness of government welfare schemes.
Singh said that helping women through education, jobs, and self-respect is important for building a strong and self-reliant India.
