Background
The Gujarat University Startup and Entrepreneurship Council (GUSEC) launched herSTART 5.0.
It is a Women-focused startup development program.
This focuses on Women-led startups across India, supporting women entrepreneurs. This initiative is taken for the women founders to build their early-stage ideas into scalable and sustainable businesses.
Supporting these women through structured mentorship, concept building and providing financial support to enhance the participation of women in the Indian Business ecosystem.
If the woman is shortlisted in herSTART 5.0, she will receive incubation support for two years. This program provides access to government grants that scale up to ₹50 lakhs. Following a cloud credit worth $100,000 to support technology and business requirements.
A dedicated working-space and guidance from experienced mentors and industry experts is also provided through herSTART 5.0. The program focuses on building long-term business sustainability through offering structured entrepreneurship and strong development support. The aim is to support women founders, structuring them as investor-ready and scaling their ventures effectively.
Gujarat University launched an acceleration body, GUSEC, which promotes innovation and entrepreneurship. Through new initiatives like herSTART 5.0, the council continues creating opportunities, encouraging new innovations and strong development to women entrepreneurs in India.
Through herSTART 5.0, participants receive financial, technology, ecosystem and incubation support. Which helps them to scale their ventures effectively.
