Background:

Doctor-founded women’s health brand Perelel has secured a US$27 million investment to accelerate the development and expansion of its clinically tested supplements designed to support women throughout every stage of their hormonal journey.

The latest funding round was led by Prelude Growth Partners with participation from existing investors, including Unilever Ventures, Willow Growth Partners and Selva Ventures. The capital will help the company move beyond its original focus areas of fertility, pregnancy and postpartum care, evolving into a broader women’s wellness brand.

Co-founder and CEO Victoria Thain Gioia described the investment as a milestone that reflects growing consumer trust in research-driven solutions. “This moment validates what we’ve built over the past five years – a business grounded in clinical rigor and medical credibility,” she said.

Gioia, alongside fellow co-founders Alex Taylor and Dr. Banafsheh Bayati, used this strategic round to replace early angel investors and strengthen leadership with partners who share the company’s long-term vision. “Prelude Growth’s track record in building category leaders makes them an ideal partner as we scale,” Gioia added.

Over the past five years, Perelel has made strong progress. The company has become profitable, doubled its revenue each year, and kept a high number of returning subscribers. Its product range has also grown to support women at different stages of life, including perimenopause and hormonal changes.

Co-founder Alex Taylor said the new investment comes at a time when the women’s health market is full of brands driven by social media and products without solid proof. She explained that Perelel focuses on medical research and trusted clinical standards, which has helped the brand build customer loyalty.

Prelude Growth Partners’ co-founder and managing partner, Neda Daneshzadeh, said Perelel is standing out in a market that often has confusing information. She noted that the company’s strong focus on research and product quality is helping shape the future of women’s health.

Industry research shows that more women are turning to supplements to manage hormonal changes such as menopause. More than one-third of women globally now use vitamins and minerals for hormonal support, and the number of menopause-focused products continues to grow.
