Google has elevated Sapna Chadha to Vice President, Asia Pacific Ads Go-to-Market Strategy and Operations, a move she shared through a LinkedIn post.
In the new role, Chadha will steer go-to-market strategy and operations for the company’s Ads business across Asia Pacific. Her remit covers business strategy, growth priorities, resource allocation, product commercialization, sales operations, and business intelligence. The appointment strengthens Google’s advertising leadership across one of its fastest-growing regions.
Announcing the move, she said nearly four rewarding years leading Google’s Southeast Asia and South Asia Frontier business had prepared her for the fresh challenge. She added that her focus now shifts to the wider Asia Pacific landscape, where she will build a scalable engine that turns AI capability into real-world leadership.
Chadha previously served as Vice President, Southeast Asia and South Asia Frontier at Google Asia Pacific. In that position, she ran the company’s business across Southeast Asian markets and Pakistan, with a sharp focus on large customer sales.
The executive has held several leadership posts during her long tenure at the technology giant. These include Vice President Marketing, Senior Marketing Director for Google India and Southeast Asia, Marketing Director for Southeast Asia and India, and Head of Marketing, India.
Before joining Google, she spent close to a decade at American Express. There she rose to Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer at American Express Banking Corp. Her earlier career also spans leadership stints at RealNetworks and Deloitte Consulting.
