Background-

The European Business Women’s Confederation, known as PEFA, opened a new branch in Timisoara, marking the organisation’s third regional structure in Romania after earlier branches in Iasi and Sibiu.

The Timisoara branch forms part of PEFA’s wider effort to grow its footprint across the country and build stronger entrepreneurial communities at the regional level.

The launch event pulled in 785 participants from cities including Timisoara, Bucharest, Brasov, Cluj-Napoca, Deva, Alba Iulia, Oradea and Arad, pointing to strong interest in the organisation’s expansion drive.

Andreea Mazilu, founder of LA Management and Entertainment, will head the new branch. Liliana Gionea and Marc Jumanca will serve as Deputy Directors, while Ana Maria Toth steps into the role of Branch Secretary. The leadership team brings together experience from both the business and entertainment sectors.

At the same event, PEFA announced the appointment of Manuela Mihai as Ambassador for International Relations. She will take charge of building international partnerships and putting Romanian entrepreneurship on the map beyond the country’s borders.

PEFA came into existence in 2022 with a focus on bringing together entrepreneurs and business community representatives under one roof. In three years, the organisation has moved from a single structure to a network spanning some of Romania’s most prominent economic and cultural cities. The opening in Timisoara adds another key node to that growing network.

The organisation has stated that expanding into major regional centres is a deliberate strategy. The new branch will support local business communities while linking them with PEFA’s national and international network. With its expansion into Timisoara, the organisation is expected to continue growing its presence in other Romanian cities.
