Background:

At the India AI Impact Summit 2026, HerKey launched Simkey, described as India’s first work-life coach designed for women’s careers and life goals. The launch took place in the presence of Dr. Sharanprakash Patil, Honorable Minister for Skill Development & Entrepreneurship, Government of Karnataka.

HerKey said Simkey moves beyond generic AI tools that simply respond to prompts or generate content. The company designed the platform to support deeper career thinking that involves uncertainty, emotion, and long-term decisions. Simkey is trained on insights drawn from over 5.5 million women professionals, including real experiences around career breaks, restarts, leadership journeys, and transitions across industries.

According to HerKey, Simkey aims to help organisations retain women employees, reduce burnout, and build stronger leadership pipelines. The AI coach addresses common but often unstructured challenges women face during their careers, such as returning to work after a break, preparing for interviews, changing roles, handling burnout, or making leadership decisions.

“Most AI tools are built to respond. Simkey is built to reflect,” said Neha Bagaria, CEO and Founder of HerKey. She said the system is trained on years of learning from women’s real career paths rather than generic prompts, enabling it to ask sharper questions and offer context-aware guidance.

Murugan Arjunan, Chief Technology Officer at HerKey, said the company built Simkey on a proprietary AI framework that combines large language models with structured career data, behavioural patterns, and long-term transition insights. He added that this approach allows the platform to identify career inflection points and deliver personalised guidance grounded in real-world pathways.

Founded in 2015, HerKey positions itself as India’s largest AI-powered platform focused on women’s work-life aspirations. The company connects over 5 million women with opportunities across more than 20,000 companies and offers over two lakh expert-led learning resources along with networking access. The platform matches jobs, learning, and mentorship with each woman’s goals and life stage.

HerKey aims to support 30 million women in India and help them overcome barriers to grow into leadership roles.
