Background

Godrej Enterprises Group (GEG) is placing advanced engineering, brand building, and digital capabilities at the center of its next growth phase. Nyrika Holkar, Executive Director of Godrej & Boyce (G&B), the flagship company of the Jamshyd Godrej led group, shared the details.

Holkar, named among Fortune India’s Most Powerful Women in Business, said the group is choosing its investments carefully. At Interio, teams are working on brand, product design, and omni-channel experience to grow a standout lifestyle brand. In appliances, intralogistics and advanced engineering, the group is putting resources into research, development and new partnerships.

GEG is also building a stronger digital backbone. Sales, service and marketing functions are being brought together into one connected system, while the group expands into newer businesses like digital security and automation. Talent development stands out as a key piece of this effort, Holkar noted, with upskilling programs backing the shift.

Revenue growth has stayed steady even as earnings showed a mixed picture. Standalone revenue at Godrej & Boyce rose above 10 percent in FY26, even as net profit slipped more than 11 percent for the year. That trend reversed in the latest quarter, when standalone net profit more than doubled on the back of strong sales.

Interio, a major consumer business for the group, grew revenue by 12 percent in FY26 and entered 100 new cities. Recently launched products made up 22 percent of total sales and the brand is now targeting 25 percent growth this fiscal year.

Holkar said the group’s approach favors long term value over quick wins, pairing ambition with discipline as it responds to changing consumer demands and fast moving competition driven by artificial intelligence.
