Sakthi Masala has presented its ninth edition of the ‘Suyasakthi‘ Awards, recognising and encouraging women entrepreneurs and achievers. The ceremony, part of the company’s Brand Avatar initiative, was held at Andal Auditorium in Chetpet, Chennai.
Tamil Nadu School Education Minister Rajmohan and Finance Minister Maria Wilson attended the event as special guests. MP Praveen Chakravarthy and actor Soori were also present on the occasion.
MLA Soumya Anbumani spoke at the event and said that both her parental and marital families came from political backgrounds. She recalled the initiatives taken by during his time as Union Health Minister, noting that his tenure saw major steps to prevent deaths from snakebites in rural areas.
She also mentioned that the 108 emergency ambulance service was introduced during that period, along with efforts to ensure anti-snake venom was available at all Primary Health Centres. She added that she enjoyed visiting villages in Dharmapuri and meeting people, saying that people inspired her and that seeing them made her happy.
Sakthi Masala founder P.C. Duraisamy addressed the gathering and praised Soumya Anbumani for her personality and communication style. He described her speeches as constructive and precise and called her an outstanding personality. He also credited Dr Anbumani Ramadoss for his support, saying that behind every successful woman stands a supportive man, and added that he considered himself an example of the same.
The awards ceremony celebrated women who made significant contributions across various fields, and it got an enthusiastic response from participants and guests.
