Steve Madden’s accessible fashion label Madden NYC has stepped into the Indian market with a fresh women’s footwear collection, kicking off the brand’s first phase of expansion here.

The launch runs through Reliance Brands Limited (RBL), with the range available on the Steve Madden India website and at select retail stores in Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Mumbai, New Delhi, Ahmedabad, Pune, Kolkata and other cities.

The collection spans sneakers, slides, heels and other everyday footwear styles, featuring metallic finishes, woven textures, denim details, animal prints and colour accents. Prices for the range fall between Rs 5,000 and Rs 7,000.

Sumeet Yadav, Head of Reliance Brands Limited, said Indian fashion consumers increasingly seek brands that blend global relevance with accessible style. He added that Madden NYC fills a gap in the market through its fashion forward aesthetic, strong value proposition and broad appeal, and expressed confidence that the brand will connect with a new generation of shoppers and build a strong footprint across digital and physical retail in India.

Ian Funk, President of International at Steve Madden, called India one of the most exciting fashion markets globally and said the company is excited to bring Madden NYC to consumers seeking accessible, trend-driven style.

He noted the partnership with Reliance brings a brand rooted in New York City energy to Indian shoppers and called the launch a key milestone in the label’s international growth plans.

The company plans to roll out new product drops, additional categories and consumer activations later this year as part of the expansion.

The move builds on Steve Madden’s existing India footprint, where the brand runs 35 exclusive stores across 16 cities. RBL, a subsidiary of Reliance Retail Ventures Ltd, operates more than 1,855 doors nationwide and holds a portfolio that includes Armani Exchange, Balenciaga, Burberry, Coach, Diesel, Hugo Boss, Michael Kors, Superdry, Tiffany & Co, Tory Burch, Valentino, Versace and Zegna.
