Background
Veuve Clicquot celebrated Canadian women entrepreneurs at the 2026 Bold Woman Awards in Toronto. The event recognized female business founders for their work in innovation, leadership and community impact across several industries.
Orlane Panet, co-founder and chief executive of MicroHabitat, received the Bold Woman Award. Her company focuses on turning unused urban spaces into productive gardens and green infrastructure projects.
Venesse Lewis, founder of Niya’s Coily World, won the Bold Future Award for building a brand that promotes textured hair education and confidence among young girls.
The awards program marked its 10th edition in Canada and received a record 358 submissions this year. The initiative was first launched in 1972 to honor Madame Clicquot, the businesswoman behind the growth of the Champagne house through innovation and entrepreneurship.
Moët Hennessy Canada said the strong response to the program shows a growing need for visibility, networking, and business opportunities for women entrepreneurs across the country.
The judging process was managed by T1 Agency along with a panel of Canadian business leaders. Organizers said the selection focused on fairness, diversity, equity and inclusion.
Both winners received handcrafted trophies and will attend a three-day experience in Reims next year, where they will join international recipients for networking and entrepreneurship-focused programs linked to the brand’s history.
