Background
INNOCEAN India, the marketing and communications agency backed by Hyundai Motor Group, has appointed Ruchi Mishra as vice president to build and lead its newly established Bengaluru office and drive business across the southern market.
Mishra will focus on strengthening client relationships, developing new business and expanding the agency’s integrated capabilities across strategy, creative, media, content, digital, data and AI-led marketing. The appointment comes as South India continues to draw brands from mobility, electric vehicles, technology, fintech and direct-to-consumer sectors, with Bengaluru offering access to a strong mix of technology and consumer businesses.
For INNOCEAN, the goal is to position Bengaluru as a strategic hub rather than a satellite office. Mishra will lead the region’s new-business pipeline, support the agency’s work for Hyundai and Kia, and help bring together strategy, content, media and AI capabilities.
She brings close to two decades of experience across agencies including Mullen Lowe and JWT/VML, along with Dubai-based research firm 4Sight and independent consulting work, spanning edtech, health tech and consumer sectors. She has worked on brands such as Idea Cellular, Lifebuoy, Fair & Lovely and Upfield’s Blue Band Margarine.
Mishra will be based in Bengaluru and report to Amitabh Sreedharan, EVP of growth, and Santosh Kumar, COO of INNOCEAN Worldwide India.
INNOCEAN India CEO and Managing Director Jaeho Yoo said India remained a key growth market for the agency’s global network and described Mishra’s appointment as an important addition to its leadership team in South India. Mishra said South India was already moving fast, often ahead of the communications industry serving it, and that the Bengaluru hub would focus on solving business problems using the right mix of strategy, content, media and AI.
