Background-

Yuukke Global Ventures launched Yuukke Artha, a livelihood and financial independence program for women, at its Yuukke Artha Summit 2026 at Hyatt Regency Chennai on Wednesday.

The program aims to help 10 million women reach financial independence by 2030. It will support women-led small businesses, artisans and grassroots entrepreneurs as they build steady incomes of their own.

Titled “Building India’s Next Generation of Financially Independent Women,” the day-long summit drew around 150 women entrepreneurs. Leaders from government, industry, finance and the development sector joined them.

The agenda included a fireside conversation on pathways to financial independence and three leadership panels. They covered building independent women, future-ready skills, and markets, money and opportunity.

Speakers included Pallavi Tewari Madhok of Women’s World Banking, Shalini Warrier of Gosree Finance and former executive director of Federal Bank, Shobhana P Ravi of TAFE, Mahalakshmi GS of Anna University’s Centre for Entrepreneurship Development and Savitha K Jagadeesan of Kochhar & Co.

Senthamarai Gokulakrishnan, founder and CEO of Yuukke Global Ventures, said financial independence changes more than a woman’s income. She said it shapes how a woman sees herself, how her family sees her and what her children believe is possible.

The day closed with the Yuukke Awards, which honored 11 women across categories. For many winners, it was the first time anyone recognized their work in public.
